Question 1

Does the downloaded video have a watermark?

Accepted Answer

No extra watermark is added: you receive the original video file Instagram serves for that post. “Without watermark” here means this tool never stamps its own logo onto your download. It does not mean removing marks that are part of the video itself — if the creator edited a logo into the clip, it stays in the file.

Question 2

Is this Instagram video downloader free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the downloader is free to use and needs no account. To stay sustainable on free infrastructure, each network gets up to 3 downloads per day (the counter resets at 00:00 UTC), and the site as a whole shares a small processing quota that renews with our upstream provider’s usage cycle. When that site-wide quota is used up, downloads pause for everyone until the cycle renews — your personal limit and the site-wide quota are two separate things.

Question 3

Do I need an Instagram account to download a video?

Accepted Answer

No. The tool works with public links only, never asks you to sign in, and will never ask for your Instagram password. If a site asks for your Instagram login to “download a video”, do not enter it.

Question 4

Why do people search for “instagram video download without water maker”?

Accepted Answer

“Water maker” is a common misspelling of “watermark”, and the two searches usually mean the same thing: saving an Instagram video without an extra watermark being added. This page is about the correctly spelled tool — an Instagram video downloader without watermark.

Question 5

Which Instagram links can I paste?

Accepted Answer

HTTPS links to public posts, Reels or IGTV videos, for example https://www.instagram.com/reel/… or https://www.instagram.com/p/…. In this first release, one link resolves one video: photo-only posts, carousels (multi-item posts), Stories and anything that requires signing in are not supported.

Question 6

The link can't be resolved or the download fails — what should I check?

Accepted Answer

First, check the link: it must be a full HTTPS link (instagram.com/p/…, /reel/… or /tv/…) to a public post that contains a video, and this first release handles one video per link — photo posts, carousels (multi-item posts) and Stories are not supported. Second, open the same link in a private/incognito browser window: if it only opens while you are signed in, we cannot access it from here. Keep in mind that a login prompt by itself does not prove a post is private or deleted — Instagram sometimes asks for a sign-in even on public posts. If a download stops halfway, wait a moment and press the download button again: retries of the same link within a short window do not use up extra daily downloads.

Question 7

Is it legal to download Instagram videos?

Accepted Answer

Downloading a video you created, or content you have the owner's permission to save, is generally fine. Re-uploading someone else's video without permission may infringe copyright and violate Instagram's terms. You are responsible for how you use downloaded files.
